Do I have to click enter on my key board for the Voip phone to dial out?

Do I have to click enter on my key board for the Voip phone to dial out? Or is there an add icon I can add on to Yahoo messenger to click and dial out?

    Typically with most VoIP softphones, you do have to activate calls from your PC keyboard or mouse.
