I live in the US and wish to call a british mobile phone from my mobile phone. I do not have a home phone only my cell phones. I have Cingular and Verizon. I prefer to use the Verizon. Thanks!

UK mobile #s all begin 07, and have 11 digits.

If you want to call or SMS (text) a UK mobile, from anywhere in the world, you simply drop the 0 from the start of the UK number and replace it with 0044.

So the number 07812345678, would be converted to: 00447812345678.

This conversion also works within the UK (0044 = 0 within the UK).

dial +44 in front of the number and drop the first 0 and that should work, like to call 0123456789 you would dial +4423456789 etc etc.

I don't think it's different than calling a landline. I dial the UK as 01144 then the 10 digit number.

Good luck and don't stay on the line for too long…it can be expensive ;)
