there’s always a problem when installing XP after vista is already on there. xp overwrites the vista boot loader. this is why you have to install xp first, then vista. getting it back is very tricky cuz then you’ll be overwriting your grub. then you’ll have to get that one back. be on the lookout in the upcoming weeks. i’m going to post another video on how to fix that after i tinker with it for a while

i havent really noticed a slowdown when running off of logical partitions. in either case, you can have up to 4 primaries, but you can have as many logicals as you want. i figured i’d leave it like that in case i wanted to install more OS’s.

  11. pcangeldust says:

and when you said to defrag the drive, did you do this, if you did? is it before or after installing xp

  12. pcangeldust says:

    Hi, good video.
In the video, the vista and storage partitions are logical and xp is primary. Can you explain this, why logical and not primary, i thought a os is best for primary partition.

  13. reponzo01 says:

  14. mirsc001pro says:

  15. DaBossk says:

is putting windows vista on a cheap PATA hard drive a bad idea?

i dont have ubuntu but i duel booted with vista installed first to installing xp second ,that way sucks because you have change vistas MBR ,its not that hard but it requires entering commands on vistas fix feature located on the disk .

  21. reponzo01 says:

Not that I know of. The closest thing is to use a virtual machine. Google “virtualbox”.

  22. OlloX3 says:

You kow Wubi? Isn’t there any Wubi-like install with Vista insteed of Linux? i mean i’ve already got XP, Linux and i want Vista installed like Ubuntu Wubi.

  23. reponzo01 says:

So do I actually. I made this tutorial before I knew about Wubi. I have another video in my channel showing how to install with Wubi.

  24. dominater2156 says:

I’m on a laptop, no problems with wifi. But my usb ports don’t work with psp or flash drive unless I tell it to make a USB startup disk.
