Virtual box works flawlessly in ubuntu too.
The problem with VB is in most cases its NOT the distro its the configuration of VB. I’ll have to post a video responce later and show you XP w/SP3 running on Ubuntu (Dell 9300 Laptop)
I’m downloading Linux Mint NOW! This is awesome. Now can it do this with Vista?
Hi cool video what do you use to records your videos to show your onscreen display?
You talking to me ssharps? The main problem I’ve been having w/ Wine in Ubuntu is that I never get any sound.
You said you couldn’t get ti to work in Ubuntu. I got it to work great but my mouse stays inside the box until I shut Xp down. Is that the problem you had?
Hay, thanks for another great video. I’m just wondering if you could get your hands on a PS3 and show us something to do with Linux running on it.
I had problems with SUSE in Ubuntu. Microsoft have made software to allow SUSE to be the parent OS it all part of the deal that they got. I got a copy of Linux Mint as home it is nice but I’m too stuck in my ways to leave Ubuntu.
Yes, absolutely. Part of the reason doing stuff in Ubuntu (like what’s shown in the video) is a bit difficult is because of the lack of pre-bundled codecs, drivers and so on. Mint is debian-based like Ubuntu is so if you’re familiar with Ubuntu, Mint will not seem odd to use at all. And it just seems to work a whole lot better.
Funny of you to mention your problems running VirtualBox in Ubuntu. I haven’t had much success using Wine with it (seems to be some serious problems with the sound drivers for it). Think Linux Mint may do a better job?
