The mixxx software can be found in the software repository
I downloaded the .deb file and installed under 64studio 3.0 beta 3 (based off debian/ubuntu)
not quite detected … now what?
should i just compile it myself?
Would this be difficult to configure into a livecd?
i hav this thing in my house nd i got givin it but i just not sure if we a disk cuz i dont hav it there. so can someone tell me if u need a disk plz. tnx

For all those Vista guys, I’ll repeat this one more time: I don’t know or support Vista. I’d love to be more helpful, but it’s better this way, believe me. At least, for me.
For recording and mixing (not: DJing) in Linux I recommend Jack + Ardour. Search the web for howto’s galore.
can you mix like your own songs or your own instrumentals somebody reply and hook it up with some info and advice
i wanted to buy a mixman but the software doesnt say anything about vista .. so what do u have to do for it to work with vista ?

i was just watching the video after recieving my mixman and was wondering if anyone had made a similar patch for xp, i also wondered if there was any way to see the midi scripting information for mixx so i can try and configure the dm2 to work with mixx so far i have only managed to make it do tempo changes and start stops, many thanks Max
No, I initially did a dual boot, but decided I just didn’t want to mess with Vista so I wiped it entirely. However, from what I understand, if you do want to dual boot them you have to wipe the hard drive clean, reformat it, then install XP FIRST. They say it won’t work otherwise. Good luck.
yo man. what do you mean “roll back”? did you dual boot or just strike Vista all together? i’m trying to do the same thing.

Brilliant! I hope to make this work on my Mac. My demo of Ableton ran out. I found Mixx, which I’m learning. I saw in the preferences that the dm2 is a mapped interface and found the drivers. I have a few buttons that came up configured, just a matter of time to get to full control! I agree that the dm2 is cheesy and cheaply made, but for a compact setup in my tiny apartment, this is gonna rock! Thanks a million for this post; it’s inspired me.
