well ynnebbenny and anyone else interested i did find HOW to get these screen savers. go main menu system administration software sources and click the other software tab. make sure the conical sources are ticked. then open synaptic package manager also in administration and type flurry in the search it should come up with one item xscreensavers mark it to install it and click apply. after it has finished job done ENJOY!!

Yeah, unfortunately Ubuntu uses gnome-screensaver instead of xscreensaver. With gnome-screensaver, you can’t change individual screensaver settings, but with xscreensaver, you can. I would just install xscreensaver and use that instead.

    Packages, man. Packages! :)

Can you tell us some of the specific packed you’ve installed? I don’t like to carelessly click on too many things in Synaptic.

Geez, talking about old computers. Wonder what
happened to Amigas. I seem to remember a young Dan Rutter talking at our Amiga club many, many years ago. You Tim are the ‘next-gen’ I think…

A few of them did’nt work for me either…

Maybe the 3D Card does not support it?

Have you got your 3D Graphics drivers installed?

Did you install all packages in the repos that came up under ’screensavers’
