When burning the CD it must be burned as an “image” not a simple data burn. Roxio will do this for you. I’m not sure about any burning software. I think this is one of the most overlooked instructions in all of linux, even ubuntu’s instructions leave this out. Keep trying folks it’s worth it !

When i put my ubuntu 9.04 DVD into the drive and then boot up the computer it won’t boot to the ubuntu OS setup what do i do??! I even checked the BIOS to see if i could change anything, and it appears that the CD/DVD-ROM is first on the list, so is the DVD non-bootable?

it downloads as a image, all you have to do is burn it to the disc
