By at least one court ruling (in Finland, I think), free DVD playback is legal for Linux because no company makes DVD playback software for Linux, and it would thus unfairly force you to use Windoze.

Blu-Ray and HD-DVD have already been made to work in Linux, although it is currently somewhat awkward.

		<description>screew whats defined as legal just cause I choose linux I wont allow some corporate jerk to say I am not allowed to watch somthing because I dont choose there OS. Screew the DRM and all those idiots if there is software out there for my app I will use it. And just for the record i could care less about anything other then DVD they are just fine I also dont support killing off a good tech just so somebody else can make a ton of money on me on an item thats not that much better lets get real where does it end we need things to be more common not more differant unless everybody wants to pay through the nose for every day items.
